A free health clinic run by Glide Church has never seen a shortage of clients during its decade of serving people with low-incomes and the homeless.
The clinic offers counseling, health screening and education to help homeless patients manage chronic illnesses and substance abuse. A roof top garden that offers a quiet place for meditation and reflection for those who have no place to go is just part of the package.
Since San Francisco passed legislation to ensure every city resident has access to health care, workers have been signing up patients for the Healthy San Francisco plan at a feverish place.
