SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- Politicians, health care workers, and union leaders voiced anger Tuesday on the steps of City Hall over proposed budgets cuts in San Francisco.
Their wrath targeted Mayor Gavin Newson who last week outlined nearly $20 million in health cuts in anticipation of a $233 million budget deficit.
State Senator Carole Migden chided the mayor for basking in the glow of universal health access one day, then proposing cuts the next.
Some of the mayor's cuts include closing down a homeless drop-in center and a workers comp clinic at San Francisco General Hospital.
