Recipes & Princely Entertaining Ideas from the Arabian Peninsula
By Amy Riolo
I had no idea there was a type of truffle that grew in the desert! I always thought they had to grow under oak trees or butternut trees. This new book is written by Amy Riolo who married into an Egyption family and made her way across the Arabian peninsula studying food, writing recipes, and experimenting. This book covers a broad section of cooking in the Middle East including special ceremonies, palatial feasts and simpler delights. You can find most of the ingredients in any supermarket. The most unusual items are rose water and orange blossom water.
