Caltrain Hits a Big Rig in Burlingame

BURLINGAME, Calif. (KCBS)  -- Caltrain service was disrupted on the Peninsula Monday morning because of an accident. At 7:30 a.m. a number 312 train hit a big rig on the tracks near the Broadway station in Burlingame.

Trains were stopped in both directions for a while, before being single tracked around the incident. Service was still expected to be delayed until at least 10 a.m.

Caltrain officials say no one on the train was hurt, but the truck driver did suffer minor injuries.

Officials say the accident happened when the truck failed to clear the intersection.
