OAKLAND, Calif. (KCBS) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., drew thousands of supporters to a campaign appearance in Oakland, where she picked up the endorsement of State Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata. She touted her experience to make effective change as president.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama’s campaign opened its California headquarters a block away Sunday. Obama did not attend the event, but San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris did. She said Obama will fight Clinton for every inch of California.
On Saturday, Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of candidate John Edwards, spoke in the South Bay calling for universal health care, among other things.
