OAKLAND, Calif. (KCBS) - If you know of a community group or charity that would like some chairs that are gently used but in good shape, have we got a deal for you.
KCBS' George Harris reports that the Boys and Girls Club of Oakland is sitting in good shape thanks to a generous from an airport renovation project.
Dozens of chairs, 48 to be precise, were delivered by flatbed truck to the Boys and Girls Cub on International Boulevard, where director Fred Frazier has plenty of seating for over 800 kids.
The chairs are from Oakland International Airport's Terminals 1-2, which underwent a $300 million renovation.
The donation was met with a “thumbs up” from the boys and girls who stand to benefit from the chairs.
Non-profits can find out about the chair donations at oaklandairport.com.
