Fortitude 2007 Luvisi Semillon
Napa Valley
Very pale touch of straw color. An intriguing floral aroma with a suggestion of firmness. Indeed, this is firm on the palate. A splendid food wine. Wow! Hardly anyone makes Semillon anymore. Firm, dry finish. Here's a fine food wine.
198 cases produced. Suggested retail price $18
Fortitude 2006 Shake Ridge
Amador County
Deep rich crimson color. Lush, full, rich aromas. Very seductive. I can't wait to get a taste. Lush is just the starting word. Spicy, bright berry flavors. Such a remarkable mix of grapes.
A unique field blend of Zinfandel (45%), Petite Sirah (21%), Primitivo (18%), Barbera (9%) and Tempranillo (7%) from the Kraemer Family's Shake Ridge Vineyards in Amador County. Three generations of Kraemer's work the vineyard. Rich and lush, this wine offers inviting aromas and flavors of wild blackberries, black plums, and brown baking spices that wrap around structured tannins. The wine has good acidity and balance.
1,000 cases produced. Suggested retail price $24
