TRACY, Calif. (AP/KCBS) -- An Alameda man died at a hospital in Tracy Saturday after crashing a race car at the Altamont Motor Sports Park in unincorporated Alameda County near Livermore.
The crash victim, identified as 47-year-old Court Summerfield, was taken to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy has been conducted on Summerfield's body, but the official cause of death will depend on the results of a toxicology test.
The crash happened on Saturday between 3 and 3:30 in the afternoon... but officials didn't have details about what happened.
The racetrack is located at 17001 Midway Road near Interstate Highway 580 about half way between Livermore and Tracy. |
