SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- Thick fog across the Bay Area made for slow going for people heading back to work Monday.
KCBS’ Tim Ryan Reports
Forecasters say visibility in some areas was expected to be less than a-quarter mile. Local drizzle also made the morning commute more difficult.
The fog is also causing delays at San Francisco International and Mineta San Jose. Some flights were even cancelled to Orange County and Bakersfield. San Jose has been forced to cancel all arrivals, with many flights being diverted to Oakland, where airport officials say they do not have any fog related delays.
The Federal Aviation Authority says arrivals are averaging delays of a little more than one hour.
