Forgetting Sarah Marshall

(R)

Welcome once again to the world of nerd gets hot chicks.  Like "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up," Producer Judd Apatow knows well that this formula works with the movie's favorite demographic:  adolescent males. TV show composer Jason Segel (who also wrote the script) plays it sweet as he is dumped by actress girlfriend,  Barbie look-alike Kristen Bell.  Off to Hawaii to get over his broken heart, where he stays in a $6,000 a night suite and meets up with stunning Mila Kunis, the very available hotel hostess.   It's all breezy, sex-filled and easy since in this world of freeks, geeks and Stepford girls nothing has to be smart or based in reality.  The only original character is Russell Brand as an obnoxious but likeable rock and roller.  Segal is likeable as well, but it's sad that a romantic comedy has to use the women as cardboard cutouts of male fantasies, and that full frontal nudity and empty sex passes for wit and fun.  It'll make a fortune at the box-office.
