Wow! It's Been Awhile

CONCORD, Calif. (KCBS)  -- The cheapest gasoline in the Bay Area was found Friday in Concord at the Bonfare Market.

The price for regular unleaded was $3.99 a gallon, a price drivers hadn't seen in some time.

It was all part of a customer appreciation promotion that actually started Wednesday night and drew long lines of vehicles to the gas station at Willow Pass Road and Granada Drive in Concord.

Bonfare's management said that while they were taking a loss on gas sales, they hoped to make up the money on sales of other items at their store. The promotion will last through the weekend.
