Great China
|
Serves great Chinese food in Berkeley.
I really like the water ravioli (dumplings), and no, that doesn't mean it's served in water; it's poached in water. There's another appetizer we're nuts about and it's called Double Skin - a paper thin, transparent cellaphane noodle, tossed with lots of goodies with a mustard sauce - a great way to start the meal. Don't miss the sauteed crab meat with egg white - the best crab dish I've ever had. Surf clams are sauteed with ginger and green onion. Geens - I've discovered more Chinese greens here and they keep coming out with more!
They have a great new wine list - 100 wines. 10 wines for $15.00; $9 corkage
Get there before 6:00 or else you'll be waiting on the sidewalk!
