SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- If you haven't received your economic stimulus check from the government yet, the Internal Revenue Service would like to hear from you.
The IRS is launching a major outreach program to contact people still waiting for their payment. Apparently, five million taxpayers have not received their rebate check, 108,000 in the Bay Area, because they haven't filed a return with the IRS, said IRS spokesman Jesse Weller.
Seniors on social security and disabled veterans may not realize they need to file a form 1040A to receive their check, which can range anywhere from $300 to $600, Weller said.
The deadline to do so is October 15.
