SAN FRANCISO (KCBS) -- Temperatures in the Bay Area are expected to increase every day this week, with the peak of the warm weather on Thursday.
”We expect a large area of high pressure moving in from the Pacific over the land. This will shut off the sea breeze, and of course cause warmer temperatures at the coast,” said KCBS Staff Meteorologist Mike Pechner.
He says some areas may even touch into the 100’s, which is around 15 degrees above average for this time of year.
It is hard to determine if this heat wave is a precursor to a hotter than normal summer.
