SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KCBS) -- Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed and killed his girlfriend in Santa Rosa Sunday night, then drove to Ukiah to attack the girlfriend's mother Monday morning.
The subject of the manhunt is Honorio Panteleon, 30, who is also the father of the victim's two children, both under 5, said Santa Rosa police Sgt. Lisa Banayat. There is no information as to whether the children were home when their mother was killed, but they are now with family, said Banayat.
The victim's mother was assaulted at gunpoint and was hit over the head with the weapon when it didn't fire, she said. The mother was treated at the hospital for a cut to her head.
Pantaleon is described as 5-foot-4, 160 pounds, with a shaved head and several tattoos. He is considered armed and dangerous. His car was recovered in Ukiah, police said.
