Morgan Wine

2008 Sauvignon Blanc, Monterey

Herbal, wild weeds in blossom, floral and vegetative all in one. Fine attractive aromas. Fine balance of fruit and acid on the palate. The high acid makes this a perfect wine for summer menus; entree salads, pasta salads, light fish and chicken dishes. Nice price $15.00

2007 Twelve Clones Pinot Noir

This actually blends 12 different clones of Pinot Noir. Bright aromas of ripe berries, earthy aromas with a tiny hint of smoke and fresh baked bread lead to a light-bodied very pleasant wine on the palate. This would be delicious with grilled salmon or chicken. $32.00

2007 Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay

Rich straw color / nutty, toasty, citrus aromas lead to a beautifully balanced wine.  Nice fruit, nice acid, just downright delicious.  The taste leaves a bit of oaky flavor on the palate that adds a complexity that works really well with a rich meal like a paella or roast chicken, or a seafood casserole.  Nice price $26.00

2006 Double L Vineyard Syrah, Santa Lucia Highlands

Intensely deep red color / luscious rich aromas of cranberry and soft spice.  Rich ripe grapy flavors with plenty of tannin... a fine wine for aging a few years.  This wine will develop complexity.  Don't rush it. If you must drink it... really rich food like bbq, pot roast, spicy food.  $40.00
