SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- East Bay Congressman George Miller endorsed Barack Obama's presidential bid Tuesday one day after Hillary’s surprise victory in New Hampshire.
Miller’s announcement came as several other Bay Area politicians also prepared to announce their support for the Illinois Senator's campaign later in the day.
Former Controller Steve Westley, Contra Costa Supervisor Susan Bonilla and San Francisco Supervisor Bevan Dufty were among those throwing their support behind Obama, according to a written statement by the Obama campaign. San Francisco Supervisor Chris Daly has already been a vocal supporter of Obama for some time.
Both the Democratic and Republican candidates are now focused their efforts on California which will, along with 22 other states, select its delegates in both parties’ primaries on February 5.
