PG&E Giving Away Light Bulbs to Fight Global Warming
|
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS) -- PG&E is teaming up with Energy Star to give away 1 million compact florescent light bulbs to promote energy efficiency during National Energy Awareness Month.
CFLs use 75 percent less power than regular light bulbs and last 10 times longer. While they are more expensive than regular bulbs, PG&E is giving them away in the Bay Area all this week.
To find out where to go, call PG&E's Smarter Energy Line at 1-800-933-9555.
