SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- One person is dead following an accident involving a San Francisco Water Department vehicle near San Francisco City College.
There are still very few details, but it appears the elderly woman was crossing the street at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Miramar Avenue in the Ingleside District of San Francisco.
The driver of the truck called 911 and was reportedly "very distraught" according to San Francisco fire Lieutenant Mindy Talmadge.
Police are still investigating what caused the accident and have blocked off part of the road in the area.
In a separate incident, a San Bruno Muni bus hit a pedestrian on San Bruno Avenue at Burrows Street.
According to Muni spokesman Judson True, the female victim suffered life-threatening injuries and has been transported to a hospital.
Several Muni buses are being re-routed in the area of this second accident: including the 9 San Bruno, 9L San Bruno Limited, 8X Bayshore Express and 8AX Bayshore Express.
Both accidents are causing delays in each area.
