Red Flag Warning Extended For Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - A red flag fire danger warning now in effect has been extended through Monday night.

Despite cool temperatures, the National Weather Service expects strong winds and very low humidity in the North Bay Mountains, East Bay Hills, the Santa Cruz Mountains, Los Padres National Forest.

Dangerous fire conditions are also forecast for the mountains of San Benito and Monterey Counties, including the area around Pinnacles National Monument.

Winds are expected to reach up to 35 miles an hour in the higher elevations of the Bay Area.
