This quirky drama is original, smart and gives us two remarkable performances by Amy Adams and Emily Blunt. Playing two sisters starting up a crime-scene cleaning business, the lead actresses remind us of how rare it is to find movies with interesting, strong, females at the center of the story. Alan Arkin plays their father, always looking for a get-rich-quick scheme. As outlandish as the premise is, these are characters to connect with and invest in...bringing this movie to 3 1/2 hats. And a special hats off to Adams and Blunt...here's hoping the Oscar voters remember these strong performances when it's time to nominate.
