SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)  -- City Hall took a step towards being more user-friendly for fledgling business owners with the opening Monday of the Small Business Assistance Center approved by voters under Proposition I last November.

For two decades, small business owners have pressed the city to provide an office that would help entrepreneurs cut through red tape as they secure the permits and other paperwork they need to set up shop in San Francisco.
