It's easy to go into a Paris Hilton movie with low expectations. But it is suprising to find that this self-centered media creature is actually the queen of the comedy of cruelty. Joel Moore is a young man who, since childhood, has always been in love with the prettiest girl in the world (Paris Hilton). He tracks her down to Los Angeles and finds her still fabulous and "hot." Unfortunately she is also still best buddies with a very unattractive, rather disgusting woman (Christine Lakin.) The movie then becomes the story of how Moore woos and wins Hilton by winning over the disgusting best friend. The cruelty of the comedy is its gross-out grotesque humor, appealing to a six to twelve year old boy who loves to bully or make fun of any new person he can. Adolescent boys of all ages were laughing and hooting with glee in the audience I was with...so there is definitely an audience for this film. And also a reminder that girls who are not as pretty as Paris (who also is listed as Executive Producer) should get everything fixed and remember that how you look is all that matters. No hats.
