MARTINEZ, Calif. (KCBS) -- The Internal Revenue Service warned taxpayers Monday they may face delays if claiming certain tax credits.
Most tax filers don't have to worry, but people claiming one of several credits that fall under the Alternative Minimum Tax will be affected, said IRS spokesman Jesse Weller.
The IRS won't accept those claims until next month because the agency's computer software needs to be updated to accomodate changes in tax law, Weller said.
Taxpayers can file for 11 possible tax credits under the AMT, but not before the IRS is ready.
