BERKELEY, CA (KCBS) -- Code Pink stepped up its anti-Iraq War protests Monday in front of downtown Berkeley's Marine recruiting center.
The group is staging a week-long camp-out to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the beginning of the war.
Code Pink organizers insisted the protest isn't a demonstration against the troops, but is instead meant to support men and women in uniform. They said they'd like to see American soldiers home safe with their families.
They also invited those who oppose their views to discuss their positions, provided individuals are passionate and willing to discuss events in Iraq.
