SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- Dozens of protestors rallied in San Francisco’s Union Square this afternoon, calling on the U.S. government to shut down the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The first detainees arrived at Guantanamo almost exactly five years ago. Many of the hundreds of inmates have never been charged with a crime.
San Francisco’s demonstration is just one of many across the nation demanding a change in policy.
KCBS’ Mark Seelig has more.
