HAYWARD (KCBS) -- Police continue to look for the person who opened fire Monday night at the Hayward BART station injuring four people.
BART spokesman Linton Johnson says the person initially believed to the the gunman turned out to be one of the victims.
But Johnson said the juvenile "is not an innocent victim" because the Alameda County district attorney's office is expected to file charges against him in an unrelated case.
Two of the four victims, including an AC Transit bus driver, have been treated and released, but two people, including the juvenile, remain in local hospitals.
Johnson said BART police, the lead agency in the investigation, are still "trying to piece everything together" and don't know the motive for the shooting.
The motive remains a mystery.
