Teenager Arrested in East Bay Robbery Spree

OAKLAND, Calif. (KCBS)  -- Oakland police announced the arrest Tuesday of a 16-year-old boy, Tenom Dominique, in connection with a string of brazen restaurant robberies. He was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for robbery.

The District Attorney's Office said Tenom is being charged as an adult with five counts of robbery and false imprisonment stemming from the robbery of Cafe Milano on Grand Avenue in Oakland on April 13. Police said he at least three other suspects were caught on video.

No one was injured in the robberies, but dozens of customers and workers were robbed and threatened during the spree that began March 31 at Red Boy Pizza near Park Boulevard in Oakland.

Seven other restaurants, including some in Emeryville and Berkeley, were also robbed. The most recent strike occurred Wednesday at Restarant Furenzu on Adeline Street in Emeryville.
