Six Medals for Former Cal Swimmer BEIJING (CBS 5 / AP / BCN) ― Bay Area resident Natalie Coughlin is making a big splash at the 2008 Summer Olympic games in Beijing, China.
Coughlin, who will be 26 on Aug. 23, has won six medals — a gold, two silvers and three bronze in swimming events so far during this year's Olympics.
Coughlin was part of the 4-by-100 medley relay team on Sunday that won the silver, allowing her to become the first U.S. woman to win six medals in a single Olympics.
