SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan has qualified for the November ballot opposing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Sheehan's campaign collected the signatures needed to get on the ballot as an independent candidate for Congress.
The military mom, who is well-known for the protest she staged outside President Bush's Texas ranch after her son was killed in Iraq, has denounced Pelosi in recent months for refusing to call for the impeachment of President Bush or call for the end of the Iraq war.
