SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- A woman was hospitalized with what may be life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning after a crash involving a Muni train in the city's Sunset District.
Muni spokesman Judson True says the train somehow struck a pedestrian just before 9 a.m. on Judah Street at 30th Avenue. Train service between 19th Avenue and downtown was disrupted for about an hour, but things are now back to normal.
The crash comes several months after another incident where a pedestrian was struck on the N-Judah line in January. True says safety improvements like the new signal lights installed at the scene of that accident in January are ongoing through out the Muni system.
