PALO ALTO, Calif. (KCBS) -- Palo Alto police have increased patrols in the wake of four muggings in the last eight days.
The most recent robbery happened just after midnight Tuesday, when a janitor walking home was assaulted by two men. One mugger put him in a headlock while the other rifled through his pockets, said Palo Alto Police Agent Dan Ryan.
Similar strong armed holdups occurred on September 8th, 10th and 14th, all within a mile of the California Avenue Caltrain station.
