San Jose, Calif. (KCBS) -- Former vice president Al Gore said Saturday at a conference in San Jose that the planet’s environmental crisis should receive just as much attention as the current Wall Street crisis.
“I think we need to bail-in renewable energy and green buildings, and invest in a future that is a better alternative,” said Gore.
The Nobel laureate was the keynote speaker at West Coast Green, a three-day conference that focused on the latest green technology for homes and buildings. In his speech, Gore encouraged the 380 exhibitors to continue their groundbreaking work and help put a stop to global warming.

Gore also praised California Attorney General Jerry Brown for his speech that asked conference attendees to help change the way Americans think by turning away from consumption.
“I actually do think that the green revolution is the solution to the financial crisis, the national security crisis, the debt crisis and the climate crisis—they’re all connected.”
