SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- A Veterans Day parade along San Francisco's Market Street had the thoroughfare lined on both sides with onlookers this weekend.
KCBS’ Ron Naso Reports
With the election behind us, and the blue skies over the bay area Sunday, it was a good time to remember our veterans of war.
Among them was Hal Muskat with San Francisco Veterans for Peace who says he'll be monitoring President-elect Obama's moves closely.
"Lets see what he does in the first 100 days. We'll see how soon those troops are deployed back to the United States," said Muskat. "Also, how he deals with Iran is very important, and North Korea, and Cuba, and every place the United States has been wagging a sword."
The usual number of politicians who partake in a parade were not present, but there were the military marching bands, veterans of foreign wars, military vehicles, and even a few soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
