CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
How to enter the contest:
The KCBS listener appreciation contest will begin on January 1, 2009
12:01 am Pacific Time ("PT") and will end on December 31, 2009 at midnight
PT.
To enter via the Internet, visit KCBS.com and click on the "Listener
Appreciation" button under events and promotions. Using the Online Entry
Form, enter your first and last name, complete address, including zip
code, daytime phone number, date of birth, your valid email address. All
online entries must be received beginning 12:00 AM on the Monday the prize
is announced and no later than 8:00 AM PT the following Monday. For
purposes of these Official Rules, "receipt" of an online entry occurs when
the "www.KCBS.com" servers record the entry information upon clicking the
"Submit" button. Any automated computer receipt (such as one confirming
delivery of e-mail) does not constitute proof of actual receipt by
KCBS.com of an online entry for purposes of these Official Rules. Each
online entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the
e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder"
is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by
an Internet Access Provider, online service provider, or other
organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the
domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. KCBS is not
responsible for Internet service outages, disconnections, delays or other
technical problems, and KCBS is not responsible for entries not received
due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays,
computer difficulties or any other technological glitches. KCBS in its
sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering
with the entry process, the operation of the "www.KCBS.com" website or who
is otherwise in violation of the rules. KCBS further reserves the right to
cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of being
completed as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs,
tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
One entry per person, per household and per e-mail address for each
prize offered.
Eligibility Restrictions:
The contest is open to all KCBS listeners who are 21 years of age or
older, legal residents of California and as of 1/1/03 have internet access.
Employees of KCBS, its licensee, its parent corporations, Infinity
Broadcasting Corporation and Viacom Inc., affiliated entities, affiliated
advertising agencies and their affiliated promotional partners, other radio
stations in the San Francisco Bay Area metropolitan area and the members of
their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
Listeners are eligible to win a KCBS contest only once every 60 days.
Listeners are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once
every six months.
Entrants are required to provide truthful information in all contest
entries and KCBS will disqualify any entry that KCBS determines to be false
or fraudulent. KCBS will also disqualify and delete any entry received from
persons under the age of 13.
Prizes
Each week, 5 listeners will be selected at random for each weekly
listener appreciation promotion. The five selected listeners will each win
the same prize. Prizes will vary weekly, dependant upon the weekly gifts.
Each gift will be valued at a minimum of $40 per prize and not to exceed a
maximum of $400.00.
Entries must be received by 8:00 AM the following Monday, after the
weekly promotion running Monday through Sunday.
All prizes or prize certificates will be mailed directly to each of the
5 listeners with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore,
winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KCBS is not responsible for the safe
arrival of a prize or prize certificate. The winner will forfeit any prize
or prize certificate not claimed within (14) fourteen days of winning.
Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or
redeemed for cash.
Contest Prizes are not transferable and non-redeemable for cash. Winner
is not permitted to substitute the prize. Station reserves the right to
substitute alternative prize of equivalent value should any portion of the
prize become unavailable.
Selection of Winners
Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
The winners will be selected, by random drawing from all eligible
entries at approximately 9:00 AM PT on The following Monday, after the
weekly Listener Appreciation weekly promotion. The odds of winning depend
upon the number of eligible entries received.
The winners will be notified on or about the following Tuesday, by
telephone and/or certified U.S. mail. Winner must execute and return any
required Affidavit of Eligibility/ Liability and Publicity Release within 10
days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate
winner will be chosen by random drawing. Non-compliance with this time
period may result in disqualification and an alternate will be selected.
Conditions
No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.
Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the
responsibility of the Winner(s). The Winner(s) may be required to sign IRS
Forms W-9 or the equivalent.
By participating in the contest, the winner and/or travel companion
agree to have their name, voice or likeness used in any advertising or
broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial
or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release
confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, KCBS in its sole
discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any)
to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold KCBS, its corporate licensee,
its parent corporations, affiliated companies and the officers,
shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of
them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or
indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
KCBS, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any
person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the KCBS website
or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to
cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion
as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering,
unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
KCBS reserves the right to make changes in the rules or the contest that
will become effective upon announcement.
Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's
disqualification at the sole discretion of KCBS.
KCBS is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the
printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the
announcement of a prize.

of winners, up to three months after the end of each week of listener
appreciation, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to "KCBS Listener
Appreciation Winners List" at the same address. Copies of the written rules
and winners list are available during regular business hours at the same
address.
Internet Contest Privacy Policy
KCBS does not sell, lease, exchange or disclose your personally
identifiable information with third party non-affiliated persons other than
our sponsors or partners, unless it is required by law, or disclosure is
necessary to those persons that operate our website, manage our
contests/events and conduct prize fulfillment ("operational providers"), and
to protect the safety of our visitors, employees or property. KCBS also
expects our operational providers to protect your privacy.
KCBS's contests, sweepstakes and special events are often produced with
the support of non-affiliated sponsors and/or promotional partners. The
personally identifiable information contestants voluntarily provide on our
website may also be used for the marketing of additional events, services
and goods by KCBS, our parent company and affiliated stations and our
sponsors or partners. Please be informed that our sponsors or promotional
partners may not have the same privacy policies that KCBS does. If you do
not wish to receive such additional marketing information or updates from
KCBS, and/or our sponsors and partners, you should check the boxes so
indicated in the contest registration area. However, KCBS maintains the
right to disclose any and all databases collected by the website(s) in the
event that the assets or stock of KCBS, or its corporate licensee or parent
company, are sold or transferred.
KCBS may provide aggregate statistics about our contestants, traffic
patterns and related website information to reputable third-party vendors,
but these statistics will not include personally identifying information.
