SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS) -- A Silicon Valley business leader said Sunday that he thinks the recession has already hit rock bottom.
"I believe we turned seven weeks ago and I've talked to other semi-conductor people who see the same thing," said TJ Rogers, President at CEO Cyprus Semiconductors.

Rogers made the remarks while being honored at San Jose's annual Spirit of Ireland luncheon for founding his company's Irish Design Center in Black Rock, Cork and hiring many Irish citizens in the U.S. and in Ireland.
Rogers admits that both his foreign and domestic facilities have been negatively impacted by the recession, but says the chip industry typically leads the way out. His company is seeing an increase in chip orders. He believes the stock market continues to fall because people are selling stocks irrationally, and says he's buying stocks right now.
