Two Donors Step Up For Vallejo Little League

VALLEJO, Calif. (KCBS)  -- Two donors have come forward to help the North Vallejo Little League recover from the robbery of its concession stand and the theft of its uniforms.

The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame has offered to replace the dozens of uniforms taken during a break-in earlier this week.

“This is exactly why the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame is really a hall without a hall, so that we could put the money that we raise into sports equipment for kids,” said spokesman Scott Summerfield.

The organization raises money through sponsorships and events like sports auctions and tournaments.

Besides the missing uniforms, the league was also faced with the prospect of buying replacement consumers and cleaning up its ransacked and vandalized headquarters.

Infineon Raceway also announced Friday it would donate $5,000 to help the league recover.
