2007 Sequana, Dutton Ranch, Green Valley of the Russian River Valley
Soft approachable smoky, herbal notes on a wine of a medium red color. Light, straightfoward entry on the palate, but with the haunting touch of classic Pinot Noir lingering on the palate. I'd love to age this for only 1-2 years to expand those flavors. On balance a delicate, charming wine. $32.00
2007 Sequana, Santa Lucia Highlands
Medium red color / soft, rich, ripe berry aromas with spicy herbal notes lead to a lush wine on the palate... fascinating - it's lush but at once, elegant. The ripe berry flavors dominate. This wine would really benefit from a couple years aging to develop those berry flavors, although the tannins are certainly soft and supple enough to enjoy now. $40.00
