2006 Central Coast Estate Grenache
Deep rich red color. Lots of really ripe fruit. Lots of ripe fruit on the palate - red, red berries. Here's a grape from the Mediterranean South of France in a new context for California. For years, Grenache was used for Rose in California. Here it's a lush, seductive, easy to drink wine. Bring on grilled poultry or pork or maybe a paella. $30.00
2006 Central Coast Estate Syrah
Intensely deep red color. Here's a concentrated wine with lingering richness on the palate. Lots of fruit, lots of tannin, lots of acid. Lots and lots of everything. If you must drink it now... a rich beef or lamb stew. Or smoky bbq. A few years of aging would pay off with a complex wine. $35.00.
Two wines that are perfectly delicious!
