Susan Kennedy

As a young child, Susan listened to the radio constantly and always wanted to be "that voice on the radio". She was the first woman on the air at a couple of stations in the Midwest as a disc jockey, but then was bitten by the news bug.

She has worked as a reporter, anchor and manager in radio and spent much of her career at KGO-AM in San Francisco before heading for New York to produce investigative and special project stories for WABC-TV and WCBS-TV. Susan was also a news anchor at WCBS Radio and was on the air less than four hours after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Susan left her heart in San Francisco and returned to manage KQED's newsroom in 2003. She joined KCBS in May of 2007.  Susan is the recipient of numerous news reporting awards including a George Foster Peabody Award.
