New Zealand Pinot Noirs
|
2007 Spy Valley, Marlborough
Medium deep red color / bright, appealing aromas of ripe strawberries that follow onto the palate. A delicious, light wine that will develop a nice bouquet with a year or two of aging. That lightness makes this absolutely the perfect wine for salmon, roast pork, and roast turkey. Thanksgiving is coming soon. I like this matchup. $27.00
2007 Pencarow, Martinborough
Deep red color, concentrated aromas of classic, smoky pinot noir fruit. This is a rich wine on the palate. Lots of tannin along with the ripe fruit. Making for an age-worthy wine. $19.99
2007 Mt. Difficulty, Roaring Meg / Central Otago
Deep red color / rich aromas of ripe raspberries with an earthy touch and a bit of vanilla. Rich, delicious on the palate. Plenty of fruit, plenty of tannin. Only $22.00. If you like fruit and tannin in plenty, here it is at a great price.
