2010 Lexus RX 350
|
With several substantial changes under the skin, Lexus continues with the basic design of the RX350--a roomy sport utility with the 3.5 liter V6 coupled to a new six speed automatic, giving sprightly performance in all ranges.
Horsepower is up by five to 275, while mileage remains reasonably good --18 to 24.
Lexus specializes in ride comfort and quietness of engine and tire noise--both achieved in the RX350. It’s a pleasant SUV to drive, although it is sizeable and needs the tight turning ability designed into it.
This model comes with either front drive or all wheel drive--our test car had the latter which gives perfect 50-50 torque distribution when required, but at steady speeds, the power goes only to the front for economy reasons.
With all known accessories, the RX is priced at $47,825. Find a basic model without navigation, leather and moonroof, and it's down to $38,200.
