CUPERTINO, Calif. (KCBS) -- California's budget crash has students scrambling for classes at De Anza Community College in Cupertino. Twenty five thousand are enrolled and not all are finding room in the courses they need.
College president Brian Murphy says 2,300 students got no classes at all.
KCBS' Tim Ryan reports
"The wait list size of about 12 and a half, 13 thousand is easily twice what it was last year at this time," he said. "It's just an exponential rise in demand.
With enrollment is up one percent and five percent fewer classes, there are wait lists of 15 to 20 students, especially for classes like math and science.
