Mayacamas Vineyards

2006 Chardonnay

Pale straw color.  Spicy citrus aromas and touches of summer melons leads to a splendid balance on the palate.  Wow, a real chardonnay, balance, balance, balance.  This is a great food wine to serve with seafood dishes.  We had it with a paella and it is fantastic. A light lemony aftertaste leaves a clean elegant finish on the palate.  Library reserve of 2004 at $45.00.
$35.00

2004 Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep, deep red color.  Bright spicy aromas.  Minty with an overtone of lavendar.  Just can't wait to take a sip.  Again, fine balance.  Would love to age this for 5 years.  It will pay a great dividend as the complexity develops.  $65.00

In the Mayacamas mountains on the west side of Napa Valley, at 2000 ft elevation.
