OAKLAND, Calif. (KCBS) -- An interesting discovery followed a warehouse fire Tuesday night in East Oakland. Police say they found at least one thousand marijuana plants inside the one story warehouse after the fire was put out.
Oakland Battalion Chief Eleanor Bolin-Chew says the fire was confined mainly to the attic.
"Nobody was living in the structure, and the fire was extinguished in 10 minutes, without causing any injuries," said Bolin-Chew.
None of the plants caught fire. The cause remains under investigation.
