Danville Spelling Champ Honored

Evan O’Dorney, winner of this years Scripps National Spelling Bee Championship was honored by BART today, and will get to throw out the first pitch when the Oakland A’s take on the Boston Red Sox tonight.
BART threw a reception for the 13-year-old Danville boy at Oakland International Airport at noon Wednesday. His father is a BART train operator.
O’Dorney beat 285 of the best young spellers in the country to take the top honors in the annual contest.
