SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KCBS) - San Francisco has already received 28,000 doses of the swine flu vaccine. Public health officials in the Silicon Valley, meanwhile, are still waiting for their allotment. They are hoping to get their first shipment this week.
KCBS' Mike Colgan reports
Santa Clara County Health Officer Marty Fenstersheib, M.D., said once they do get the vaccine, it will be reserved and made available to high risk groups first.
So far, 10 deaths in the community have been linked to the H1N1 flu virus. More than 300 people have been hospitalized in the area with swine flu.
