SUNNYVALE, Calif. (KCBS) -- A three-alarm blaze tore through a two-story apartment complex in Sunnyvale Wednesday morning, leaving as many as 20 families displaced.
KCBS’ Matt Bigler Reports
The fire, reported shortly before 7:30 a.m. at a complex on West Olive Avenue, near Mathilda Avenue and about a block from City Hall, had been contained by 9 a.m.
”The initial arriving units found at least one apartment heavily involved in fire, and it was spreading to another apartment,” said Sunnyvale Fire Captain Doug Moretto. “Both apartments were upstairs in this multi-unit apartment complex.”
Fortunately, all residents were able to make it out safely, and no injuries were reported.
