These experiences formed her music and, as most folks know, she became the voice of France and remains an iconic figure to this day. Not a standard biopic, but told as an emotional journey through poverty, drugs and madness. Through it all we get to know and connect with this remarkable talent. Written and directed by Oliver Dahan. this is powerful, innovative filmmaking.
