Richmond Shooting Kills Dad, Wounds Son

RICHMOND, Calif. (KCBS)  -- Authorities are looking for suspects after an early morning shooting in North Richmond that left a 59-year-old man dead and his son wounded.

Lathel Douglas was pronounced dead outside his home after being shot around 1:24 a.m. Saturday, Contra Costa County Sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

A man identified only as his 29-year-old son was wounded in the shooting. He was airlifted to a hospital. His condition has not been released, said Lee.

No suspects have been identified, and investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting.
